These discounts are largely being offered on platforms such as Croma, Flipkart and BigBasket, while the phones themselves come from Apple’s 2024 iPhone 16 lineup.
iPhone 16 Plus drops to one of its lowest prices
The iPhone 16 Plus, which originally launched in India at a starting price of ₹89,900 for the 128GB variant in September 2024, is now being sold for around ₹71,890 on platforms like Vijay Sales. That puts the total price drop close to ₹18,000 compared to its launch price.
The discount mainly comes from retailer price cuts rather than complicated cashback schemes. Some stores are also offering optional bank offers that can reduce the price further by up to ₹5,000 for select credit cards, though those are not required to access the main deal.
The iPhone 16 Plus is known for its larger 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display and the A18 chipset. It also carries a dual rear camera system with a 48MP primary sensor and a 12MP ultra-wide lens. A 4674mAh battery powers the device, with support for wired and MagSafe wireless charging.
Retail discounts like these are often seen when newer iPhone models begin approaching the market cycle, as sellers try to clear stock and attract buyers looking for a premium device without paying full launch pricing.
iPhone 16 Pro available with flat discount
The more premium iPhone 16 Pro is also seeing a significant price reduction. The smartphone launched in India at ₹1,19,900, but the 128GB variant is currently listed at around ₹1,03,990 on Croma and BigBasket. That translates to a flat discount of about ₹15,910.One of the main things about this deal is that it does not require any specific credit card or exchange scheme to unlock the reduced price. Buyers can simply purchase the phone at the lower listed price.
BigBasket is also highlighting fast delivery for the device in some locations, with the platform claiming deliveries in as little as 10 minutes in supported areas.
The iPhone 16 Pro comes with a 6.3-inch LTPO OLED display with ProMotion support up to 120Hz and peak brightness of 2000 nits. It runs on Apple’s A18 Pro chipset paired with 8GB of RAM and storage options going up to 1TB.
On the camera side, the phone includes a triple rear camera system consisting of a 48MP main camera, a 48MP ultra-wide lens and a 12MP telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom.
Standard iPhone 16 also sees a price cut
The base iPhone 16 model has also become cheaper. The 128GB variant, which originally launched at ₹79,900, is now listed at around ₹69,900 on Flipkart. With additional card discounts, the effective price can fall to roughly ₹66,655, though even without those offers the phone is already ₹10,000 cheaper than its launch price.
The iPhone 16 features a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display and runs on the A18 processor with a 5-core GPU. It includes a dual camera setup with a 48MP main sensor and a 12MP ultra-wide camera, while the front houses a 12MP FaceTime camera.
