Xiaomi launches Redmi 15A 5G for budget buyers in India

Xiaomi on Friday (March 27, 2026) launched a new budget segment phone, the Redmi 15A 5G for the Indian buyers. The new Redmi 15A operates on HyperOS 3.0 based on Android 16, and will offer 4 years of Android updates and 6 years of security updates.
Redmi 15A 5G ships with a 6,300 mAh battery, and supports 15W charging, along with 7.5W wired reverse charging. It is IP52 rated for dust and splash resistance.
Redmi 15A 5G has a 6.9-inch display with up to a 120Hz refresh rate, 800 nits brightness, and wet touch technology 2.0.
Redmi 15A 5G is powered by an octa-core processor with up to 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage. It also comes with expandable storage up to 2TB
Redmi 15A 5G sports a 32 MP rear camera and an 8 MP front camera.
Redmi 15A 5G starts at ₹12,999 for the 4 GB + 64 GB variant, with the 4 GB + 128 GB and 6 GB + 128 GB models priced at ₹14,499 and ₹16,499, respectively. It will sell from April 3 on Flipkart, Mi and authorized Xiaomi retail stores.
