A fresh Apple Sports app update has landed with 2026 FIFA World Cup content, letting users view groupings as well as following their favourite national teams out of the 48 participating.

Naturally, the Apple Sports app also provides real-time scores and stats, for football fans unable to keep up with the action live in Canada, Mexico, and the US. Live Activities are also supported on your iPhone lock screen, along with the ability to personalise your home view in the app.

Users can also add a widget to their home screens to get even quicker access to scores and upcoming matches when the tournament kicks off on 11 June.

As for where to watch the matches themselves? Fox and FS1 will be broadcasting all 104 matches, while Telemundo and Universo will be broadcasting games in Spanish. The Fox sports app and Peacock are the main streaming platforms for live matches and catching up on replays, while Fubo, YouTube TV, and Hulu+ Live TV will also show the action.

In the UK, BBC and ITV will be doing their usual sharing of live matches, both broadcast and available for streaming.

As for the Apple Sports app, you can download it directly from the App Store for free, if you haven’t got it already. Other covered sports include MLS, NBA, NHL, and European leagues including the Premiere League.
