At the core of the Nord 6 is the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, paired with what OnePlus is calling a segment-first 165FPS gaming capability. The phone is tuned for high frame rate gameplay across titles like BGMI, COD Mobile, and Free Fire MAX, backed by a combination of a 3200Hz touch sampling rate, a custom touch chip, and a high-precision gyroscope. On paper, benchmark numbers also show a noticeable jump, with the device crossing 2.5 million on AnTuTu under standard conditions.
The display is another highlight. The Nord 6 features a 165Hz 1.5K AMOLED panel with up to 1800 nits of high brightness mode and a peak HDR brightness of 3600 nits. It also brings 3840Hz PWM dimming for better low-light comfort, along with Aqua Touch 2.0 for improved responsiveness in wet conditions.
Battery is where things get unusually large. The device packs a 9000mAh silicon-carbon battery, which is significantly bigger than what we typically see in this price range. OnePlus claims over two days of moderate usage, along with double-digit hours for gaming and video streaming. Charging is handled via 80W SUPERVOOC, with additional support for bypass charging and 27W reverse wired charging.
On the connectivity front, the Nord 6 includes a dedicated G2 Wi-Fi chip designed to maintain stable performance in crowded networks. It also supports 5G-Advanced, with claims of faster peak speeds on supported networks like Jio.
For cameras, the setup includes a 50MP Sony primary sensor with dual-axis OIS and a 32MP front camera. Video capabilities go up to 4K at 60fps, and there’s a new “Motion Photo Clipper” feature that lets users extract high-resolution stills from short video clips. The camera experience is further supported by a range of AI tools such as AI Eraser, AI Unblur, and AI Detail Boost.

AI is a big part of the overall experience here. The phone introduces a feature called AI Mind Space, which essentially acts as a personal knowledge hub where users can store and retrieve on-screen content. This ties in with Google Gemini integration, enabling more contextual and personalised outputs based on saved data. Other additions include AI-powered translation, writing assistance, and scanning tools.
The Nord 6 runs OxygenOS 16 and comes with a promise of four major Android updates and six years of security patches.
In terms of build, the device carries IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings, along with what OnePlus claims is improved durability through reinforced glass protection and military-grade testing standards. The design follows a familiar OnePlus aesthetic, borrowing cues from its flagship lineup.
OnePlus is also introducing a Sandstone Magnetic Case for the Nord 6, along with a 100W dual-port GaN charger that supports multiple fast-charging protocols.
The OnePlus Nord 6 is priced at ₹38,999 for the 8GB + 256GB variant and ₹41,999 for the 12GB + 256GB model. With bank offers, the effective price drops further, bringing it closer to the mid-₹30,000 range. The device will be available starting April 9 via Amazon, OnePlus’ official channels, and offline retail stores.
