Lava launches Storm Play and Storm Lite for budget buyers in India

The homegrown smartphone maker Lava on Friday (June 13, 2025) launched two new smartphones under its Storm series featuring Storm Play and Storm Lite for the budget conscious buyers in India. These 4G smartphones are IP64 rated for dust and splash resistance.

Both, Storm Play and Storm Lite will get 1 Android upgrade and 2 years of security updates. Currently, they operate on Android 15 out of the box.

Both, Lava Storm Play and Lite have a 6.75 inch HD+ notch display with a 120 Hz refresh rate.

They also ship with a 5,000 mAh battery but Storm Play gets an 18W Type-C charger while the Storm Lite has a 15W charger inside the box.

The Storm Play runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 7060 processor with 6 GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128 GB UFS 3.1 storage.

Storm Play sports a 50 MP main Sony’s IMX752 sensor along with a 2 MP secondary lens. It has an 8 MP front camera for selfies.

Lava Storm Play has been priced at ₹9,999. It will sell exclusively on Amazon from June 19.

Lava Storm Lite feature MediaTek Dimensity 6400 processor with 4 GB RAM and up to 128 GB storage.

Storm Lite gets a 50 MP Sony IMX752 rear camera and a 5 MP selfie lens.

Lava Storm Lite starts at ₹7,999, and will sell on Amazon from June 24.
