The Borivali store carries forward Apple’s now-familiar peacock inspired visual identity, first introduced with the September 2025 openings in Bengaluru and Pune, and later seen in Noida. It is a design language that signals confidence and cultural grounding, something Apple seems keen to establish as it deepens its roots in the Indian market.
Apple Borivali will open to the public at 1 pm on February 26.
According to the company, the new store is aimed at serving a growing community of startups, creators, and businesses in the region. Customers will be able to explore the latest Apple product lineup, experience new features, and get hands on support from Specialists, Creatives, Geniuses, and dedicated Business teams. As with other Apple retail locations, Today at Apple sessions will also be part of the experience, offering free daily in store sessions focused on learning, creativity, and practical device usage.
The retail expansion aligns with Apple’s broader momentum in India. CEO Tim Cook recently highlighted that the company achieved a quarterly revenue record in the October to December period in India. He noted strong double digit revenue growth in emerging markets, with India playing a key role. Retail performance globally was also at an all time high during the quarter, and India continues to feature prominently in Apple’s expansion plans.
The numbers back up the narrative. iPhone shipments in India grew 24 percent year on year in 2025 compared to 2024, according to CyberMedia Research. In contrast, iPad shipments saw a modest 2 percent growth. The iPhone 16 series emerged as the standout performer, accounting for 57 percent of total iPhone shipments in the country and becoming Apple’s most successful smartphone lineup of the year.
Economic Times has previously covered the Apple Bengaluru store opening as well as the Apple Store Noida launch, tracking how Apple is steadily building out its physical retail footprint across key Indian cities. With Borivali next in line, the expansion story now moves deeper into Mumbai’s suburban ecosystem.
Put simply, Apple’s India strategy is firing on multiple cylinders. Manufacturing is scaling, revenues are hitting records, and retail footprints are expanding into high potential urban pockets. With Borivali next in line, Apple is not just opening another store. It is reinforcing a long term bet on India as one of its most important growth markets.
