Apple on Tuesday (August 26, 2025) announced the launch date of its new iPhone series. The U.S. based iPhone maker has chosen September 9 as the launch date of an expected iPhone 17 line up at 10:30 PM IST.

Apple CEO Tim Cook shared on X, “Get ready for an awe dropping #AppleEvent on Tuesday, September 9!”

Apple is likely to bring iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Plus, iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max. A new entrant, iPhone 17 Air, with a thinner portfolio, is also possible.

Along with the new iPhones, Watch Series 11 is also on the cards along with a third-generation of Ultra smartwatch.

Apple iPhone 17 series may use the same display as the current model with minor adjustments in peak brightness.

A new rebranded iOS 26 is likely to debut with the new iPhone series apart from bringing the last year’s introduced Liquid Glass that offers a transparent feel to the home screen.

As Apple has shifted to using base and Pro variant processors, this year also, it is likely to load the base variants with A19 while the Pro units might use the A19 Pro chipset.

Apple is also expected to bump up the battery capacity and charging speed of the new iPhones.

Selfie camera improvement could come in the iPhone 17 series while the telephoto lens is also expected to get more zoom in power.

Apple’s new iPhones may start retailing within September in India with a likely price range of the current iPhones.
