With 2030 rapidly approaching and the EU’s Digital Decade target of 20 million ICT professionals still out of reach, urgent action is needed. Bringing together youth education, civil society, digital industry and government, this initiative implements innovative approaches to digitally upskill young Europeans.

The vision is to build a sustainable, scalable digital education and upskilling movement that empowers every young person to embrace digital technologies and pursue fulfilling digital careers.

By reimagining and relaunching EU Code Week with a new mandate, this effort drives real change in digital education, aiming to significantly increase youth engagement in digital careers and unite the entire digital skills ecosystem to close Europe’s digital skills gap.

Code4Europe aims to scale EU Code Week to impact 25 million young people over the next two years, while preserving its grassroots nature, empowering the existing community and aligning with core values.

Led by Junior Achievement Europe, a consortium of 45 committed organisations from all digital education and skills sectors has joined forces to integrate education and digital skills communities within one cohesive programme. Together they will empower the next generation of Young Digital Europeans.

The future is digital and it belongs to Europe’s youth.
