An advanced version of Gemini 2.5 Deep Think has achieved gold-medal level performance at the 2025 International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) World Finals. This milestone builds on our gold-medal win at the International Mathematical Olympiad in July, underscoring Gemini’s world class capabilities in abstract problem solving. In this year’s ICPC competition, Gemini was able to solve Problem C, a complex optimization task that no university team could solve.

A lightweight version of Gemini 2.5 Deep Think is already available to Google AI Ultra subscribers in the Gemini app. Learn more about this achievement on the Google DeepMind blog.
