Good news for your development workflows: starting today, we’re giving all Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers Gemini CLI and Gemini Code Assist with a higher model request limits

. This means you can spend more time building (and vibe coding) with Gemini 2.5 Pro and Flash. These changes are rolling out over the next 24 hours.

In case you missed it, we launched Gemini Code Assist in VS Code and IntelliJ back in May, and the open-source Gemini CLI (which puts Gemini in your terminal) in June. Now’s the perfect time to check out new features like IDE mode in VSCode, our Zed integration, and the new GitHub actions for the CLI.
