The company said Gemini Advanced, including Deep Research, Gemini Live, Canvas and video generation products will be free for college students. Gemini will be enabled in Google Docs, Sheets and Slides, and Google’s experimental image and video generation tool Whisk will also be available, the tech giant said in a blog post.
This offer isn’t just for finals this semester. If students sign up before June 30, they get free access through finals in spring 2026.
“The best of @GoogleDeepMind AI (including Gemini Advanced with 2.5 Pro, and the smartest Deep Research capability around) is now free for US college students through to finals 2026,” Demis Hassabis, cofounder & CEO Google DeepMind, said in a post on X.
