The new models that come in different variants — Ola Gig,, Ola Gig+, Ola S1 Z and Ola S1 Z+ — are offered at an introductory ex-showroom price of Rs 39,999 to 64,999, the Bengaluru-based electric two-wheeler maker said.
This launch is aimed at competing with players like Yulu Bikes, a shared mobility services provider whose low-speed rented electric bikes are often preferred by delivery partners of quick-commerce and logistics firms.
“Say hello to Ola S1 Z & Gig range, starting at just Rs 39K! Affordable, accessible, and now with a portable battery pack that doubles up as a home inverter using the Ola PowerPod,” Ola founder and chief executive Bhavish Aggarwal wrote on microblogging platform X.
Booking for the S1 Z and Gig range are now open, with deliveries expected to begin in April 2025.
These new launches expand Ola’s scooter portfolio, which already includes premium models like the S1 Pro and S1 Air priced at Rs 1,34,999 and Rs 1,07,499, respectively and the mass-market S1 X series, which comes in 2 kWh, 3 kWh, and 4 kWh variants and priced from Rs 74,999 to Rs 1,01,999.

The Gig range has been designed with the needs of gig workers in mind, offering two variants — ‘Gig’ and ‘Gig+’ priced at Rs 39,999 and Rs 49,999. These models will be available for business-to-business purchases and rentals, the company said.The Ola Gig offers a range of 112 km on a single charge, with a top speed of 25 km/h. It features a removable 1.5 kWh battery and a hub motor. The ‘Gig+’ model is built for longer distances and heavier payloads, offering a top speed of 45 km/h, a removable single/dual 1.5 kWh battery and a range of 81 km.
The S1 Z is designed as a personal-use electric scooter for urban commuters, the company said. The S1 Z+ is intended for both personal and light commercial use. Both models come with removable dual 1.5 kWh batteries, offering a range of 75 km and a top speed of 70 km/h.
Additionally, the company introduced the ‘Ola PowerPod’ priced at Rs 9,999. This portable battery pack can also function as an inverter to power small household appliances, such as lights and fans, with a maximum output of 500W.
Ola Electric also recently unveiled its Roadster motorcycle series, with deliveries slated to begin next January.
These launches come at a time when Ola is facing criticism over its servicing network and customer complaints. The Central Consumer Protection Authority issued a notice to the company over these issues, to which Ola Electric responded on October 21 by stating that it had resolved 99.1% of existing complaints.
During its second-quarter earnings call, CEO Aggarwal announced plans to launch 20 new products across two- and three-wheeler categories over the next two years, with at least one new release per quarter.
On Tuesday, Ola Electric’s shares closed at Rs 73.47, up 5.67%, on the BSE.
