OnePlus has denied reports suggesting that the company is planning to shut down operations in India, calling the claims misleading and unfounded.

The clarification comes after speculation began circulating online about OnePlus scaling back or exiting the Indian market. Responding to the rumours, the company said it continues to operate normally in the country and has no plans to wind down its presence.

In a public statement shared on social media, OnePlus reiterated its long-term commitment to India and urged users not to fall for what it described as a misinformation campaign. “We’re operating as usual and will continue to do so,” the company said, adding that India remains an important market for OnePlus.

The brand has been active in India for over a decade, with a portfolio that spans smartphones, audio products, wearables, and accessories. India is also one of OnePlus’ largest markets globally, both in terms of sales and manufacturing.

The company did not comment on the origin of the rumours but stressed that customers, partners, and the wider community should rely on official communication for accurate information.

OnePlus ended its statement with its long-standing brand message, signalling continuity rather than change in its India strategy.
