Perplexity AI has launched Email Assistant, an agent for Gmail and Outlook that can schedule meetings, prioritise emails and draft responses on the behalf of the user. The email assistant has been made available for all Perplexity Max subscribers starting today.
The assistant learns the user’s communication style and then writes emails in the same tone. It also keeps an eye on the user’s priorities and suggests meeting timings based on their calendar.
“You can also ask your Email Assistant questions about your inbox: ‘What emails should I prioritize before my board meeting?’ ‘Summarize all messages about the Q4 budget.’ ‘Show me anything urgent from the design team this week,” a blog shared by Perplexity AI said.
Users can CC Perplexity Email Assistant on any mail thread and allow it handle the scheduling. The assistant auto-labels mails and organises them so users can skip spam mails easily.
Perplexity Email Assistant is also secure and compliant with SOC 2 and GDPR by default. Additionally, it never trains on user data, the blog post claimed.
Just yesterday (September 22), the AI startup expanded their AI browser Comet to cover Pro subscribers in India.
