In the weeks leading up to SharkNinja’s India launch, induction cookers began selling out across the country — a sign of how quickly Indian kitchens are being forced to rethink themselves. Into this moment steps SharkNinja, bringing its global lineup of air fryers, multicookers, and countertop appliances to a market that has long operated with limited innovation and even fewer real choices.

Ahead of the launch, Mrunmay Mehta, managing director and country head, SharkNinja APAC in India, says the timing had been planned well before the gas crisis due to the war in West Asia gave it an accidental sense of urgency. However, the reception on the ground had its own momentum well before the official announcement. He started receiving personal requests for the Ninja Combi, the Ninja Creami, the Shark vacuums, and the FlexBreeze fan.
