Vivo on Monday (August 4, 2025) launched the new Vivo Y400 5G smartphone in India for the mid tier buyers. The new Y series phone has gen AI features like AI Transcript Assist, AI Note Assist, AI Documents, Circle to Search, AI Superlink and Focus Mode. For its target audiences, it also features underwater photography.

Vivo Y400 5G has a 6.67 inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and 1,800 nits of local peak brightness. It supports wet hand touch as well.

Vivo Y400 5G holds a 6,000 mAh battery along with a 90W charger inside the box. It is IP68 and IP69 rated for water resistance.

Vivo Y400 5G runs on the 4nm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset with 8 GB RAM and up to 256 GB storage. It offers 8 GB extended RAM too.

Vivo Y400 5G sports a 50 MP Sony IMX852 main camera along with a 32 MP selfie camera. It has Live Photo, AI Erase 2.0, and AI Photo Enhance in the camera app.

Vivo Y400 5G comes in Glam White and Olive Green colours starting at ₹21,999 for the 8 GB/128 GB variant. The 8 GB/256 GB model costs ₹23,999. It will go on sale starting August 7, across vivo India e-store, Flipkart, Amazon, and all partner retail stores.
