YouTube has announced that it is expanding its multi-language audio to millions of creators so that they can make use of the multi-lingual dubbing features for videos.

With the new update, YouTube creators can add their own dubs in multiple languages, allowing viewers around the world to watch content in their preferred language.

YouTube reported that on average, creators who uploaded Multi-language Audio tracks saw over 25% of their watch time come from views in the video’s non-primary language.

The multi-language audio pilot took place two years ago, according to the company.

“Now, when a YouTube creator in the U.S. releases a new video, within moments a fan in Korea, a fan in Brazil, and a fan in India can all watch it in their native language,” stated YouTube in a blog post.

YouTube noted that celebrity creators such as chef Jamie Oliver, social media personality MrBeast, and educator Mark Rober were reaching more watchers around the world after adopting the new feature.

The rollout is set to take place over the coming weeks.
